Hot Tamale TME 2009 TB Black Filly Standing 17.2 hh 3 TBHA Points, 10 HF Points Sire Bush Breaker is a strong eventer when he was in Horses Forever, and now in Equine Revolution, and was initially imported for a crop of 2008 foals, bred by Kate Carter of Starlight Stables. While Bush Breaker would never cross well with some TME mares such as Majestic Sundance, nor her offspring, we feel that Bush Breaker holds position as the strongest cross for Tootsie Pop Kidd TME, who has now foaled out her fifth foal problem-less. Tootsie Pop Kidd's first foal out on the track, Aurelius TME, by Lancat, broke her maiden first time out. We're hoping Hot Tamale will follow her sibling's trend out on the flat, and excell further in the Steeplechase world. This beast hosts the dexterity of a female, the heart of a winner, the soul of a champion, and the muscle of a colt. Hot Tamale may take the road for the American Triple Tiara in 2012! What most find interesting about this filly - she was a twin. According to Mega Quines Veterinary Clinic, twins prior to day 30 are quite common, especially in the Thoroughbred and Warmblood breeds. However, the majority of the time, by day 40, one of the adjacently embedded embryos withers away, which is exactly what ultra sounds seemed to show. Unfortunatly, my own opinion, backed by opinions from Mega Quines, were wrong. As the embryos developed, the second managed to stay hidden for several more checkups. Upon day 87, the twin embryo showed back up, and we realized what we were dealing with. By this point, the embryonic vessel was deeply attached, and we spent the night considering options. At this stage, PMSG was nearly gone, while relaxin and estrogen hormones were at somewhat low-moderate levels, and rising. By morning, she had aborted, yet quite miserably after reviewing video tapes, and messy. We rushed her to Mega Quines, to find yet one heart beat. Strong. We were amazed. And this fighter is the result. |
