Plans are to concentrate on ground work with this young filly while still letting her be a filly in the pastures. If she becomes as tall as predicted, she has a lot of maturing to do. Towards the end of her two year old year we'll begin working basic dressage skills to help her mature and become more supple. From there, we will run her easily in some Bumper chases as a 3 year old, though we're uncertain if she'll ever race the HF Sanctioned ERTRA races on the flat as a two year old. At four, we plan to condition her to Hurdles and possibly toward the end of the year switch her into Eventing. Honestly, Nearco fills this pedigree on her sire's line (with foals: Neartic - Northern Dancer, Nearco - Noorani, Nearco - Nasrullah, and Nearco - Dormello) and her dam's line (Nearco - Nasrullah (2)). Her dam also contains Discovery and Blue Larkspur, and we wouldn't trade this breeding for the world. Alysheba, with over $6.5mil in Career Earnings, ran 26 times with 11 wins, 8 places, and 2 shows. Rividere is a mare with 11 starts, 8 wins, and hit the board every time she ran. Theatrical descends back to a variety of origin including Great Britain, Ireland, France, Arg, the US, and Canada. He holds over $2mil in earnings with 22 starts after hitting the board 16 times. |
